Baseball Offseason News
The baseball offseason has begun as crappy as the postseason ended. Already the Statesman is reporting that freshmen Josh Prince and Michael Demperio will be leaving the Texas baseball team to transfer "closer to home." Prince was a clutch hitter in the lineup and Demperio added great speed to the base paths. The college baseball offseason is a time of transition and we can only hope that Augie will build a team capable of returning to the College World Series.

Jeff and Abram haven't been much help on this one - can anybody else help me out here? As a college baseball ignoramus, I'm wondering why Oregon State gets home field advantage over Michigan in the super regional, even though they are a 3 seed and Michigan is a 2 seed. How does that work? Anyone?
